VUILLAFANS is also the starting point ofmany picturesque walks marked, including the one taking you to Chateauvieux-les-Fossés, a small, unique village with its ramparts, its hamlet, its chapel.
Other walks will take you into the valleys of Vert-Vaux, Bief Noir and Cuves d’Enfer. You can also wander in the Champaloux forest to discover its remote areas, its numerous caves, its belvederes and waterfalls.
Likewise, you can practice if you feel like it.fishing (the Loue being renowned for fly fishing), thecanoe Kayak, therecaving, THEcanyoning, THEtennis, therepetanque, aalpaca outing... or nothing at all and enjoy the calm of the valley to recharge your batteries.

Around VUILLAFANS, you will discover:
-Ornans, often called “Little Venice Comtoise”, is the birthplace of Gustave COURBET.
-Lods, member of the association “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”, built on the mountainside, overlooking the road and the river, three dams of which form magnificent waterfalls, illuminated in summer.
-Mouthier Haute-Pierre, in a setting dominated by large rocks, notably Haute-Pierre (882m), surrounded by meadows covered with cherry trees (famous kirsch), Mouthier is one of the main tourist attractions of the valley.
-Hautepierre-le-Châtelet, a charming little village built on the edge of the rocks and located at the entrance to the path leading to the Haute-Pierre rock, the highest point in the region.
-The Source of Loue, the strongest and undoubtedly the most beautiful of the Jura springs.
-Echevannes, known for its winding road linking it to VUILLAFANS, a road which serves as a circuit for the nationally renowned automobile hill climb, taking place at the beginning of July.
